The Sognefjord is not only Norways longest and deepest fjord. Discover the fjord villages, our hidden treasures rich in history and culture!
Our fjord villages come in all shapes and sizes. From the largest village, Sogndal, with a population of 7000, a university and outdoor focus, to Solvorn in Luster, a tiny village where you´ll find a cafè, a hotel, a gallery, a ferry dock and the local convenience store within a 40m radius.
Every village has their very own specialty. In Vik you´ll find "Gamalost" cheese, in Leikanger they produce the most lush honey and Flåm and Årdal have their very own brewerys. Experience a world of Norwegian Cider in Balestrand or visit the viking village in Gudvangen.
Our fjord villages offer a taste of the fjord life and culture through all seasons.
