Snowshoe hike & Ægir Viking dinner

The trip begins by minibus along the Aurlandfjord and up to the spectacular viewpoint Stegastein, 650 meters above main sea level. Along the way your local guide will explain about life on the mountain farms as you pass them , and you are sure to see places you would not expect people to be able to live. On arrival you will be introduced to the art of walking on snowshoes and will hear the history behind them. The hike will take about 1-1,5 hours. Before the bus takes you back to Flåm there will be a stop at the viewpoint Stegastein. The trip is suitable for beginners general fitness but no experience needed. 

After a fresh winter day out and about, your evening continues with a dinner at the Ægir Brewpub. Dinner includes smoked reindeer, shellfish, fish and shellfish soup, pork shank and dark chocolate ganache cake. You will be served 5 beers for your meal, one for each type of food. Relax and enjoy the cozy atmosphere in front of the tall fireplace. (Vikingplank menu for children with non-alcoholic beverage also available).
