There are several beautiful areas well suited for sports climbing, wall climbs, bouldering and alpine climbing in the Sognefjord region.
Hurrungane, Jotunheimen
This is Norway's classical climbing area, opened by C.W. Slingsby (British) in the late 1800's. The mountains are alpine in character, with numerous glaciers and narrow ridges. Rock quality is generally good. See below for Guided climbing.
