Winter Activities

Explore the winter adventure in Sunnfjord. You will find several skiing resorts offering both down hill and cross-country skiing. While you go down the lighted slopes in Jølster you can enjoy the beautiful winter landscape and views to the lake Jølster. There are also areas with lighted cross-country trails in Jølster, Gaular and Naustdal.  

Langeland Ski og Fritidssenter is situated in Gaular and offers well prepared trails from January until March. Cross Country Skiing In the region there are several cross-country ski trails. Along E39, 10 km south of Førde Langeland is situated. Here you will find several trails, including trails with lights. Gjesdalsdalen in Vassenden (Jølster) offers great outdoor tour experiences year around. In winter you can enjoy the prepared trails accommodating all skiing styles.You can enter the trail from two different places either by the parking at the cabin or by driving up to Holtane and start from the parking there. At Instedalen in Naustdal there are several cross-country skiing trails that are suitable for small children and families.
